So, I'm still standing....WHY?! Because I have awesome friends! Between friends being willing to take me in....Mike and Nel are helping me move. A co-worker, who I didn't think liked me is going to help me move. And another co worker is going to let me stay with her as long as I need to. I'm a little afraid of what the next apartment might hold, but we will see!
I'm optomistic! It can only get better! And it has already! Mike and I filled a dumpster full of my stuff tonight!!! And we bombed the apartment!!!! YAY!!!! I feel so much better, and to think earlier, I was so stressed I almost threw up! Friends rock! I feel so lucky! |

I have 6 people helping me move.
2 may show up as well.
I only have to pay $200 for my half month of rent.
I move in 5 days.
I'm gonna go see Batman this week.
And Mike and I parted on good terms, in fact, I think we will be great friends.
Althought it's been really hard the last couple weeks (and in some ways, still is).....

I'll post the whole story later, but I possible sold a painting to a girl I met while looking for a tarot book today!!! Super cool chica's!!! I showed them a cell phone pic of the exploding heart, and she really wanted it! In case you missed the prev post with the finnished image....
After discussing it with a friend, I have decided to part with this. Yes, it's my baby, but when you hear the story, you will understand why! More to come! I have to get ready for my show tonight!!! |

A friend of mine said he has been looking for a song for a long time, and quote some song lyrics to me. I found the song, I had it in my CD collection! I played it for him, and it was the song he was looking for, #1 Crush by Garbage! I WIN!!!! Awesome song! He probably could have googled the song lyrics, but I was glad that I knew what he was talking about! YAY! |

I was at the bank, making a transaction, and the teller picked his nose, then took my ID. He then continued to do the nose rub thing that you do when your nose is running, and you don't want it to run down your face. Icky! The weird thing is that he didn't look or sound sick. Still, gross for continuing to do that, then handing back my ID. |

So, we are in for a show in Providence, and we're going to do somesort of fundraising thing! I just go an email asking if we would be interested in performing at the Dells in June!!!! It gets better! Transportation and accomodations would be paid for, wait for it.... and there would be some pay involved!!!! Probably not much, but who cares?!
HELL YES! I love my team!! Absolutely LOVE THEM!!!!!
UPDATE: Shit! I just skimmed the email (cause I'm a dork!), and I went back this morning to see the dates. We would be performing during the week, June 10th, and 11th. Crapola! That means I would have to take 2 vacation days. I'll do it if we're a go, but crap man! All of my vacation days this year are going toward traveling for improv. Don't get me wrong, I'm lovin' it, I just wish I had more vacation time. Crap man! |

So, I walked up to the train platform to run home after work, and a chick walked up to me with a clip board. I swear, one of these days I have to pretend to act crazy, just for fun! She asked if I was registered to vote. I said I was (alot of people are trying to make sure that people are registered), and she said "Great! We're trying to get signatures on this petition to allow an independant to be added to the ballot. I stopped her right there and said "NO!!!!" That's how Bush won twice. (Don't get me wrong, I voted for Nader the first time, but I was pissed when he ran the second time) I said that the independant would mess it up for the democrats, so the people who would probably vote democrat, but weren't quite sure, would have a third option. I said I just don't want another Republican as president. She said "Well we don't want either!" I said "Good luck! But, I don't want another R in the whitehouse."
Dude, you'd think she would be more thick skinned, considering she had been doing it all day. What eves! I'm typing on my brand spanking new laptop! Thank you tax refund!!!!! It's funny, if you saw the set up, I'm moving files from one to the other via flash drive, I think I look like a little geek at my helm! OK, so it's nothing to brag about, but I think it's funny! And geeks rule, by the way!!!
PS: I hate politics, I hate to talk about them. I am just very unhappy with how the last 8 years have been. WTF?! |

Our improv coach, Farrell, made a really good point at the end of our last rehearsal.
He said that he wanted to see us attack all of our scenes like we did in rehearsal. He said "Performing isn't something you have to do. It's something you GET to do!" -I like that. It makes sense! I think in some cases, we want to be nice, and not be scene hogs, or jump into every scene. I think Susan Messing calls it NIDS -Nice Improviser Disorder Syndrome.

So I received an email from my friend ![[info]](http://p-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) patchhat , asking for my address because he had something to send me. He said he was working on "Pretties" for me. I received the package, which was taped very well. I had to take a kitchen knife to it. In fact, Mike had to help me open it. I opened the box, and it was the two books "From the Ashes", and "Into the Storm" by Meghan Brunner!!!! You can check out her books at: www.faire-folk.com. I'm sooooo excited! It sucks that I'm reading a couple books right now. MAN! I wanted to pick these up, but I was not able to find them at bookstores here.

Actually, the improv troupe I am in has been accepted intot he Providence Rhode Island Improv Festival! YAY!!!! Now all we need, is enough of us to say yes, and we will be going! I'm so glad that I signed up for frequent flyer miles, I should be racking them up this year!
Oh, and mamajenzie! The Chicago improv festival is on from June 2nd-the 8th! Let me know if you come down to see some of it! I think "Snubfest" might be going on that week too, that was unintentional. Here's the link to Chicago Improv Fest. |

OH! And someone made a phone call during the movie because this kid that was with them fell asleep. The kid kept snoring. Mike said the kid kept asking questions, then fell asleep at one point. Then the person got a phone call and answered right at the end. I said "GET OUT OF HERE!" I couldn't believe it! How frickin' rude! |

This is what I've been working on. I am almost done with the exploding heart. I hope to finnish it soon. As you can see, it's a bit of a process. The second pic I did one night. It wasn't planned. It just kinda came out.
 
This third pic I call "Flight." I had better hopes for this one. I might end up tossing it. The only thing I really like about it, is the backround. The fourth painting I call "Shattered." I am thinking about maybe adding something to it. I might just try dripping bright blue paint on it. Hmmmm.....

So, I'm super psyced that we will be opening for Cyclops Baby on May 10th!!!! HELL YES!!!! They are sooooo funny! The last time we opened for them they had an awesome montage, which included pie eating contests (and guys doing it for the free milk), and comparing midgets and ewoks. Awesome!!!! I can't wait! Once I move into the city I can't wait to see more improv on a regular basis. HELL YES!!!!

OMG!!!!! I was a little nervous about taking a Susan Messing class, but I am SOOOOOO glad that I did. Someone said she is like "Get on up there ya cunts!" She is and she isn't. She's not abrasive, but she says whatever she wants. She kept saying Horney, and you need to get off in the scene! Not litterally, but she was basically saying that certain things you do for yourself, like object work will totally thrill you, and connect you in the scene. She should write a frickin' book! I like Mick's book, don't get me wrong, I can't wait to take a class with him, but she was so helpful!
She reitterated what Lilly said in level one "What ever you do on stage is perfect, it is correct." She went on to say that if she gives suggestions, that's all it is. It doesn't mean that what you were doing wasn't wrong or good. If anyone says "You should have done..." in a scene, they are fucking wrong! It should be "You could have," poor choice of words, my friend!
She said that in a scene it's OK to match your scene partner. It can be very funny. Opposite is fine too. But when you match them it becomes a game. I'm going to email her and ask her about how to get out of my head.
She also said that if you laugh on stage it is funny if someone justifies it, or it you do in some way. Like you laugh, then you do something else, and then you do the same thing again. Otherwise, DON'T LOSE YOUR SHIT! When you laugh on stage it is cute, and the audience will think how cute it is, but then you just fucked up the scene. She said that she has done that in the past, and Mick called her on it and said "Why did you ruin a good scene?"
She said something else that was awesome too, but I can't remember, DAMN IT!!!!!!
I just sent an email to her, I think I sounded like a dork!
Oh, and I pictured her older. She looks so young! I have to get to annoyance shows! They're free, since I'm a student!

OK, so today I was a total idiot, and when I received an email from my bank I clicked on the link, and entered my SSN and my password, the website looked like the bank website. DUMB!!!!! It went to a website where it asked additional questions. I then realized that there wasn't a place to click to see my accounts. So I went onto my actual bank website and logged in. Then I called my bank, reported what happened. They locked my account, and I'm going to go through the steps to cancel my account. I also called a number my bank gave to me, and called to put my SSN on alert. CRAP! That was not cool! |
